What We Do

The Wisconsin Turfgrass Association (WTA) represents all turf management professionals throughout Wisconsin who have a keen interest in the important role turfgrass research and education plays in the quality of our lives.  Research initiatives include funding studies through four Distinguished Graduate Fellowships endowments and the WTA Sustainability Fund, in addition to providing $200,000 startup funds to hire two turfgrass research faculty.  Education is provided through conducting the annual WTA Summer Field Day and Winter Turfgrass Research Day Conference and Webinar.  We also serve as the liaison and industry representative for all turfgrass management professions in Wisconsin to the University, State, and public.
